Das Intercontinental Ensemble ist eine Stiftung mit Sitz in den Niederlanden, auf Niederländisch als 'Stichting' bekannt.

Ziel der Stichting Intercontinental Ensemble ist es, Aufführungen zu geben; das Musizieren zu fördern, unter anderem durch das Angebot von Bildungsprogrammen und die Teilnahme an Ensembles; sowie alle weiteren Handlungen durchzuführen, die mit dem Vorstehenden im weitesten Sinne zusammenhängen oder dazu förderlich sein können.

ANBI

Das Intercontinental Ensemble ist eine ANBI-Stiftung. Wenn eine ANBI eine kulturelle Einrichtung ist, kann sie den Status einer 'kulturellen ANBI' erhalten. Um als kulturelle ANBI anerkannt zu werden, muss die Einrichtung zu mindestens 90 % im kulturellen Bereich tätig sein. Spender an kulturelle ANBIs haben einen zusätzlichen Steuervorteil, da für sie ein zusätzlicher Spendenabzug gilt.

Board Treasurer

The Intercontinental Ensemble — an ambitious, hard-working chamber music company operating (inter)nationally with roots in IJburg — is looking for a new treasurer. Is that you, or do you know someone who wants to put their financial expertise to use and feels connected to classical music? We'd love to talk with you!

What you'll do

You help shape the ensemble's financial course and support the board with the budget, annual accounts and subsidy accountability. You safeguard the organisation's financial health and flag in good time where adjustments are needed.

Who we're looking for

Someone with financial knowledge and an affinity for (classical) music or culture. Experience in a board role is a plus, but not a requirement — we look above all at commitment and thinking power. A diverse background and perspective fit seamlessly with the international character of the ensemble. This role is also a great opportunity to take your first steps at board level, or to put your financial expertise to work in the cultural sector for the first time.

Time commitment

Around 2 hours per month.
