The Intercontinental Ensemble consists of four strings and five winds, with members hailing from various countries like Mexico, Spain, Hong Kong, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands.
United by their passion for chamber music, their mission is to share their love for music with audiences and expand the repertoire through symphonic arrangements and new compositions.
IntEns has collaborated with renowned artists such as Severin von Eckardstein, Niek Baar, Nicolas van Poucke, Piano Duo Scholtes-Janssens, Channa Malkin, Ekaterina Levental, Marieke Vos, and Maarten Koningsberger. They have also premiered works by notable composers including Wim Henderickx, Sarah Neutkens, Aregnaz Martirosyan, Edo Frenkel, Apollonio Maiello, Gabriel Lubell, and Bianca Bongers.
Performing at prestigious venues like the Concertgebouw, Muziekgebouw aan het IJ, De Doelen Rotterdam, Tivoli Vredenburg, Grachtenfestival, and Schiermonnikoog festival, IntEns has captivated audiences not only in the Netherlands but also in Mexico, Italy, Belgium, and Luxembourg.
