
Intercontinental Ensemble consists of four strings and five winds. Their members come from different continents and countries including Mexico, Spain, Hong Kong, Portugal, Czech Republic, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.
What brings them together is their passion for chamber music and to share it with their audience. Their goal is to enrich the repertoire through their own symphonic arrangements and new works.
IntEns has shared the stage with artists such as Severin von Eckardstein, Niek Baar, Nicolas van Poucke, Piano Duo Scholtes- Janssens, Channa Malkin, Ekaterina Levental, Marieke Vos, Maarten Koningsberger, and have premiered works by composers Wim Henderickx, Sarah Neutkens, Aregnaz Martirosyan, Edo Frenkel, Apollonio Maiello, Gabriel Lubell, and Bianca Bongers.
IntEns has performs at major venues such as the Concertgebouw, Muziekgebouw aan het IJ, De Doelen Rotterdam, Tivoli Vredenburg, Grachtenfestival, Schiermonnikoog festival and have performed in Mexico, Italy, Belgium and Luxembourg.
